UR7s South Africa are pleased to announce that everyone's favourite sporting taverna in Cape Town; Vasco Da Gama is once again sponsoring UR7s SA 'Rugby 7s Week' this coming December.

UR7s SA is dedicated to 'Everything 7s' and in the week preceding Cape Town 7s this December when the world comes to the mother city, UR7s will once again be delivering outreach coaching clinics, tournaments, socials and events for all.

Coaching Clinics

Coaching clinics will be hosted at Hamiltons RFC in the shadow of Cape Town Stadium from Monday to Thursday and as was the case in 2015, will include programs from townships across Cape Town. The thriving mini section at the club will also be involved with UR7s delivering coaching clinics alongside players from the HSBC World Sevens Series.

Vasco Da Gama Cup

On the Friday, UR7s will then host a local junior 7s tournament for all of the teams that have taken part in coaching clinics. Teams will receive a team kit for the day and compete for the Vasco Da Gama UR7s Cup.

Rugby 7s Week Social

Vasco will host the 7s week social on the Wednesday evening before Cape Town 7s with drinks offers, great food and players from the HSBC World Sevens Series as a celebration of the best in the world coming to Cape Town.

Free Drinks

Vascos have committed to giving away a huge number of free drinks in the coming months that will be enjoyed at anytime during 'Rugby 7s Week'. If you are a fan of 7s then it is the only place to be heading into Cape Town 7s.

UR7s SA, MD said of the partnership "This is another great partnership for UR7s SA. We enjoyed hosting clinics at Hamiltons last year and we want to grow rugby 7s week even further this year both on the field and in the bar. So coaching kids from across the mother city with some of the biggest names in the world plus running a great tournament alongside the Vascos is going to be huge"

"We all remember the faces of the lads who met Ben Ryan and the Fijian squad last year and got to train with them, and that's what 'Rugby 7s Week' is all about"
