UR7s Launches R7A

'We say in all our coaching programs, rugby 7s can take you anywhere in the world. That 7s has no boundaries, that's the case for any adventure. Whether it be Edmund Hilary climbing Everest, Levison Wood walking the Nile, Sam Branson on the Matterhorn or Chris Cracknell in Fiji and beyond.

Tom Burwell, UR7s Group CEO

Following months of tweets and social media clips, UR7s has today announced a new addition to the UR7s family, a lifestyle brand under the name of R7A

R7A is said to be inspired by travel, adventure, tour and of course a little bit of rugby 7s. CEO of the UR7s group, Tom Burwell spoke at the launch in Cape Town today.

'R7A is very much a step in a different direction for UR7s as a company but one we are incredibly proud of and something we are sure the rugby 7s and wider outdoors adventure community will welcome and embrace'

'We have been very fortunate to have been touring around the world with playing teams and coaching groups for a number of years. Be it the baltic cold of the NYC Thanksgiving 7s, to standing on the equator in Nanyuki, to traveling through the Masai Mara to being on a Tuk Tuk in Sri Lanka. Whether it be Beach Rugby in Cape Town or coach education in Uganda. Working with soon to be college rugby players on a Ivy League campus in the USA or with the Wanderers in Dubai, there is always a sense of adventure at the start, during and at the end of every tour. We want R7A to embody that, bring that passion for travel and the unkown and represent it all year round'

"Adventures don't have to be conventional, physical or cookie cutter, they just create have to create anticipation, excitement and broaden ones horizons, for me that's touring. Rugby Seven has done that for us at UR7s and we now hope R7A can represent that to a new market" said Burwell

'Its certainly not just inspired by the places we have been too or not been too, it is also very much about the people we have met. From our guides hiking up Mount Kenya, to our driver in Uganda, players who have been in squads, families that have welcome us in and young players who have just given us a smile. R7A is for you, it represents you, this great sport and just how far it can take you'

R7A is first launching a range of Caps, Tees, Vests & Hoodies in what they called the'For the Tourist' range which will originally be available in South Africa and from outlets where UR7s has programming around the world in 2016. It will ultimately be available from UR7s SA new website which is being launched on Friday 15th April with shipping worldwide.
